new apples

our  neighbour called today with the eight apple trees which had been sent out last Friday and which we thought had gone missing. They had been delivered next door by mistake. D quickly unpacked them and put them in a bucket of water, and this afternoon he planted all 8 in the holes which he had dug for them a few weeks back. So now the orchard has 16 trees and hopefully in a few years we really will be enjoying the fruits of his labour :-)
