Wooden Horse of Oyne
Aberdeenshire was bathed in sun today with around seven hours of really hot sunshine topping fifteen degrees in Oyne.
Never heard of the place I hear you say. Well, it was the site of the first sleeper to be laid on the railway line from Inverness to Aberdeen in 1852 which gives it some claim to fame. Oyne also hosts a post box, a level crossing, a bus stop and Archaeolink.
