Away he goes

A cold start to the day with ice on the decking, down to -1.8 degrees. A colourful sunrise with a surprise daylight visit from the Pine marten. The female seems to arrive every morning at about 7 and enjoys tucking into the peanuts and today picked up an over ripe pear that I had put out for the blackbirds. The larger male appeared later on.He tried to take a drink from the birdbath but the water was frozen.I think he had a rather cold tongue afterwards.
