NZ- Day 11
After the cyclone winds, we were unsure whether the road was open for the next stage of our journey. We loaded the car, got in, my husband went to take back keys, found out road closed due to fallen trees, back into the accommodation, and then we did set off. We had lots of narrow bridges to cross and some rough unmade roads. This should have been the prettiest part of our journey but it poured with rain most of the way. When we arrived at our new destination, we donned full wet weather gear including our waterproof trousers and walked into town. After getting provisions and cooking dinner, this was the view that greeted us later on. Welcome to Wanaka at sunset, brilliant. I am behind because WiFi is poor.
