Coffee Stop Today

We were going to do the supermarket shop this morning, but as we set off out of the drive we had a change of plan as it was such a lovely sunny frosty day. We decided shopping could wait until tonight.
We drove over to Rydal then decided a trip up the Langdale valley would be good, stopped off at the Old Dungeon Ghyll hotel for coffee, Ray caught up with an old music/sailing friend there, then over Wrynose and Hardknott  passes, stopping to walk over to the remains of the Roman Fort (see extra). Returning via Eskdale, calling on our son for coffee and eventually ending up at the supermarket in Workington for shopping.
