Rant in Ulus, Istanbul

A quiet street in Istanbul where I collected Gentle from his latest (five days this time) treatment session at the vet.  A different vet this time.  Easily the most expensive campus kitten that I've taken care of - 2000 lira (£480) to date and I'm currently feeling a bit grumpy towards the person that left me the anonymous letter at my door last November to say there was a sick cat on campus without offering to help in any way. I wish I could ignore such information, but I can't.  Part of my frustration is at myself.  Of course it isn't Gentle's fault and he is a sweetheart - but it was a fractious evening of reuniting him with Harry who likes things just the way they were before and resents the interloper.
