Flock Of Seagulls, Aylesford
Now, you will either get this reference or not. Let's just say male popstar's hair was at it's zenith or nadir (depending on your point of view) in the early to mid Eighties. Check out this group's single Wishing (If I Had A Photograph Of You) on youtube - brilliantly mad but still stands up as a bloody good pop song.
I think that era was fantastically inventive and diverse when it came to fashion and hair. It can all look very dated but at least it stood out and made a statement. I think it can also be forgotten that so much was done on a shoestring (maybe Duran Duran and Spandau Ballet excepted - and then more in the mid Eighties than when they started out) due to the massive recession of the late Seventies and early Eighties.
I liked the ladder in this shot as well - some hair was so big that this could well have come in handy!
Today's extra shot is called "Giving Up The Ghost".
