The Evita Balcony
The last leg of our Europe trip has us spending 4 days in Rome. This time we decided we wanted to be in the thick of it so chose to stay at the Albergo Del Senato in the Piazza della Rotundo, aka the square with the Pantheon in it. When I booked I asked if we could have a room with a view of the Pantheon. They said they would try.
We arrived and checked in and the receptionist said he hoped we would like the room. I was a bit worried in case it wasn't very nice. We walked in and.... wow! Not only did we have a Pantheon view, we had the only room with a balcony with a Pantheon view! It was the perfect balcony for a royal wedding kiss, or yelling "Friends, Romans, Countrymen..."from, or even singing Don't Cry For Me Argentina...
We didn't do any of that though. We just sat out there, sipping prosecco, people watching and thinking how lucky we were to have landed that room.
Thank you Albergo del Senato :)
