Today, Mr MD and I had our first outdoor picnic of 2018.   During a visit to Harlow Carr Gardens we didn't fancy queuing for something to eat at Betty's Tea Room so we chose Betty''s Tea House at the bottom of the garden where you dine al fresco. There was a very chilly breeze but we both enjoyed hot Sweet Potato & Leek Soup and crusty brown rolls.  We weren't the only ones.  Others were braving the elements too.    I was quite taken by this rather novel way of containing all the swept up leaves.
