City Girl Spots Owl

I was on my usual morning walk with my daughter this morning. The crows were cawing and making a racket and I knew there had to be a reason. Sure enough, there in the tree top was this wise old owl. I know this sounds crazy, but I've never seen one outside a zoo! The best thing about this picture is I took it on Manual settings with my daughter's help. Another first! I would've never seen this in downtown Portland!
