Such Elegance

Dear Diary,

This Mourning Dove looked so elegant to me, perched in Auntie's Tree out back. The light was soft and illuminated the feathers in a lovely way and the way it stretched it's neck to look back at me...perfect. They always impress me with their simple elegance.

A bit icy this morning but I have a workshop this weekend on letter press printing so I will try to make it. It is supposed to warm up a bit today. Tomorrow will be messy too with a snow/rain mix all day but we Mainers are a hearty lot. It is always hard to have events in the winter but I will try to make it. I'm looking forward to trying letter press again.
