Another sunshiny day but perishingly cold. The city is full of tourists, many with red and white scarves and hats in readiness for the Calcutta Cup rugby match at Murrayfield this afternoon. Let’s hope we Scots don’t get massacred.

My extra image is of Daughter#3 on the podium in Muscat as the 1st Woman home in today’s road race there. Don’t let the fact that she was the only woman in the race detract from her success because she did beat several of the men.
Oman is so liberal at the moment and very different from some other Gulf States. Long live the Sultan Qaboos who keeps the country stable and very Britain orientated.
