Excavations Open Day

Went back to the Baileyfield excavation site. This time there were people there from the excavation company to explain some of what we could see. Almost everything visible was from the old brickworks, with the bottle works only on the very edge of the area uncovered. The oldest buildings that have been revealed date back to the late eighteenth century. This is A, who used to work in the bottle works and had some great stories of his time there.
