The Beach...

We took Alfs to the beach at St Peter Ording on the North Sea coast today.
I looked out over the horizon and happy that somewhere in the direction I was looking, with nothing but air and water in between, were the Farne Islands in Northumberland where the puffins nest in the summer.  I can't wait to go back there, and to the Observatory in the Dark Sky park, and to see more of Hadrian's wall, and more Castles... 

Alfred had a good run around, but it was FREEZING and we didn't stay that long.  The beach was endless - just sand as far as the eye could see like a desert...  :-)
