David Lloyd George

Lloyd George was a key architect of the British welfare state, though not so great in his atittudes towards women. I've been staying this week in the house where he died - Ty Newydd, now the National Writers Centre for Wales, and this is his grave nearby. With some fresh shoots, for optimism.
