Here comes the sun
After a very pleasant evening out with S' cousin and his wife (to acknowledge their great help in mother-in-law's birthday gathering last weekend), I woke long enough before the sunrise to comfortably run down to Fidelis Beach before the sun rose.
The darker land mass is Kawau Island at the mouth of the bay into Hauraki Gulf. Higher and paler are peaks from the Coromandel Peninsula, on the eastern edge of the Gulf. At this time of the year the sun has to emerge from behind Coromandel to be seen here.
A quiet day of reading, sweeping the deck and generally relaxing. Weekends here are restorative.
