Juanita and Droog

We celebrated the tenth birthday of Juanita, my goddaughter, at lunch in the Rose and Crown, Otley, today. Her parents are from Colombia and are researchers at the University of Leeds; Juanita was born in Leeds General Infirmary. Droog told her that we first met her when she was one day old, and he took her photo; she looked very serious and said, ‘I don’t remember’.
