I, suddenly, had this idea to compare Alice's maximum zoom, of yesterday, with the 450D's Un-zoomed (18-55mm lens).

Effectively, this is what I see looking across the valley to the 
"Great Erection". Measured, courtesy of Google© Maps & folded paper, as near enough 
2.5km= 1mi 974yds. as the fly crows.
