Icons on Sunday

Today we took a ride from city Chania onto the village of Meskla to visit two old Byzantine chapels there with  age old frescoes on their inner walls.


Those chapels are pretty dark inside and the icons hardly to  be seen as the light only comes in via the opened door, that led us in.

Unlike me I took this flash foto of a piece of its ceiling and part  of the supporting wall
