Kilmuir in the sunshine

A beautiful day from start to finish. Our Sunday drive took us to Kilmuir.A lovely walk in the sunshine next to a flat calm Firth.Some very pretty cottages right next to the water.It must be a micro climate there as the crocus and other plants were out enjoying the sun too.We had planned to have lunch at the Kessock Hotel but it was very quiet and no one around so we ended up in Beauly , back to the cafe on the corner where we had a very late breakfast.I had pancakes with bacon,banana and maple syrup, yummy :)
Beautiful views there and back and the rest of the day I spent in the garden.
Some excitement in the field as the big digger came down to clear the burn.After the last few downpours of rain the water was gushing down the hill and causing some flooding so now it’s been cleared hopefully the problem will go away. A gorse bush that had started to block our view is there no more :)
