Hanging With My Gals

Dear O'H dear and Lovely Tea Jenny,

Eldest Mini Princess and I went for a little jaunt in Stockbridge today to look for birthday gifts. We were successful in our mission and after grabbing some lunch, headed home on the bus.

We sat upstairs as the bus was busy. A few rows behind us, some ‘yoofs’ were being very loud and annoying. One of the girls was telling the fascinating story of how she lost her virginity after getting hammered at a party and one of her companions decided to liven things up by playing music in his phone and cranking up the volume.

Eldest Mini Princess’s outrage was palpable…

‘How much of a n0b do you have to be to play music on the bus? They have broken the nobometer.

That SURPASSES nacho double dipping, cutting your nails on the bus (she actually saw that) and public flossing (one of my ex-colleagues used to do it at his desk)’

I properly laughed out loud but I was very glad when the journey ended. Another experience which reaffirms that there is a n0b on EVERY bus in Edinburgh. Possibly the world.

The Prince was at Murrayfield at the Scotland v England game. I suspect the Scottish win may have an adverse effect on his ability to function tomorrow.

Eldest Mini Princess went to sleepover at a friend’s house so Youngest Mini Princess and I went First Class in The Dominion to see Black Panther. I didn’t have high expectations as Eldest Mini Princess didn’t rate it as one of her Marvel favourites, but we loved it. It is different from the usual Marvel format but it works really well. It was visually quite stunning, the outfits are quite spectacular and I like the soundtrack. We also had the joy of ordering food and drinks and someone bringing it to our table, and reclining our sofa so we were almost horizontal!
