Double Bill
Isobel and I had a wander round Gloucester Quays and did a quick raid on the Levi shop and Joules and then grab a breath of fresh air around the Docks before we went to see I Tonya and then Phantom Thread, almost back-to-back.
I, Tonya is about Tonya Harding's upbringing, training, competing and alleged involvement in the attack of Nancy Kerrigan. It is quite a brutal film and the lifestyle and language of Tonya, her mother and husband is not at all what you would expect from a one-time Olympian!
We grabbed a quick coffee and sandwich before heading back in to see...
Phantom Thread, which is at the other extreme, a whimsical look at the fictional life of a spoilt dress-maker in the UK in the 1950's!
