Brrrrr

Woke up at 2am freezing cold and couldn’t get back to sleep. I have no idea how people managed decades ago when there wasn’t any central heating! Ethan woke up earlier than expected and also complained he was cold. We snuggled under the duvet together for a while before decanting to the living room. With a gas fire, it was the only room I could heat!

I was planning on going to an early showing at the cinema to get out the cold house before Scottish Gas came out this afternoon to fix the boiler. But they phoned out the blue at 9.30am to say they’d be there in 10 minutes! Has to go off again to get a replacement fan but by 11am it was fitted and fixed. The house temperature had dropped to 8 degrees though so it took 4 or 5 hours for it to warm up properly.

Ethan & I went down to The Centre to look at football boots and to get a top for his World Book Day costume. He’s wanting to dress up as Diary of a Wimpy Kid.

Took him to the local park where he played with a neighbour for a while. It eventually got too cold for me & the Dad though so we took the kids home - always easier to drag a child home when their pal is going at the same time.
