What Canal?

Thought I would have look at another of the local canals! Well what a disappointment, on the map it did say in places "route of" but I did not expect whole sections to have been filled in and farmed over, the sections that remain are overgrown with trees and rushes what water is exposed green and rank ! The bank was good to walk but with no charm I don't think I will be rushing back. 
Got some more pruning done, in readiness for next weeks weather closing outside work. 
Cooked a leg of lamb for our evening meal.
Just seen that yesterday was my last day at work ! So I am one year in to retirement...............;0)
