Another place

Today we went out to Crosby to see Antony Gormley's iron men standing in the sands, looking out to sea. What inspiration and vision to foresee the impact these figures have on the landscape and the conversations they inspire. My 7 year old was interested in why the artist had made the figures naked , and that brought up all sorts of conversations about who we are and how we are defined. There are 100 of these men on the beach. Many are half submerged even at low water. So our other questions were around what the fish made of them. Hope they like them too.
