G'day

Today is Australia Day. This maybe not be quite as well known as my blip yesterday, however I have a lot of good memories from Australia.

I spent a year backpacking down under ten years ago and had a brilliant time. On Australia Day my friend and I were in Perth and had a one off job of selling flags etc in a local park. Unfortunately we weren't very good at this, however all our efforts didn't go completely unnoticed and we caught the eye of a journalist from a local newspaper.

We may not have earnt much money that day but we did have lots of fun and got our pictures in the paper as the journalist found it very amusing that were British backpackers selling Australian memorabilia on Australia Day!
