scotland street

visited the scotland street school today, designed by charles rennie mackintosh and built in 1906. it was lovely ~ one of the best bits for me were the two towers at either side of the school for boys and girls staircases with these huge glass windows. stunning. apparently there were modifications made to rennie mackintosh's original designs by the local authority...but I bet it would have been even better had he been given free reign.
