Start of the Big Freeze

As I drew the curtains, a snowflake fell outside. Snowflakes continue to fall, gently. They can stay gentle, I don't want to have to face a blizzard today.

Still sunny beyond the fence by the pond on which the surface of the water has begun to freeze over. Only the jets of water which aerate the pond prevent total formation of ice. The snowflakes decorate what ice is there.

It's so cold, you can even make out the shapes of snowflakes.
