Lost or set free?

While preparing supper this evening I looked out the front window and spotted a very unusual bird in our feeder. We are pretty sure that this is a female Parakeet, which are NOT wild birds.

Why she is out in the 'wild' is anybody's guess. We think that she either got loose from her owner or they set her free. I just hope it's not the latter as that would be animal cruelty!! With winter coming on, I'm not sure she can survive and we are not sure what to do with her. Or for her.

Today's sighting will not be the last. R also spotted her in the back feeder. We purchased some Parakeet feed and she seems to like it!
