We were lucky to meet the very eloquent Alon this morning, who took us round the ultra orthodox Jewish community in Jerusalem.

Alon was brought up here and having left, returns with small groups of people who are interested in the tradition and rules.

There are many, many rules and I was even more covered up today than yesterday.

The bill posters behind him are effectively newspapers, posting (in this case) information about the 86 year old Rabbi who died yesterday. Alon told us that the relies leader was buried within three hours and his funeral attended by 30,000 people.
