57/365 26th Feb HMHS Glenart Castle !! In the early hours of 26th February 1918 near Lundy Island in the Bristol Channel HM Hospital Ship Glenart Castle on route to France was torpedoed by German U Boat UC56, the ship sank within 8 minutes taking with it 162 crew and medical staff among them medical orderly Andrew Duncan. Today on a bitterly cold morning exactly 100 years after the event a memorial service was held at Hartland Point North Devon, among those placing a wreath were Andrew Duncan’s grandson (Jamie) and great grandson (Tom).  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HMHS_Glenart_Castle
