The Twelve Apostles

Today's the day ........................... for home thoughts from abroad

Just by chance, two lots of close family and friends are currently travelling in Australia - and their routes have taken very similar paths.

Brother Ron and Margaret sent some wonderful pictures for us to see, including this one of the Twelve Apostles - a collection of limestone stacks off the shore of the Port Campbell National Park, by the Great Ocean Road in Victoria.  Apparently there's only eight Apostles left now, the ninth having collapsed dramatically in July 2005.  I've put another one of the Koala Bear that was sitting unperturbed in a tree by the roadside, in extras.

Then the last one is a piece of fossilized coral from Gondwanaland - sent to me by my good friend Sue.  She and Howie are over in Oz, visiting their son Joe who has gone out for a year or two.

Isn't it nice of them all to be thinking of us back home - and to share some of the marvels that they have been seeing .........................?
