Red kite
A slightly bigger bird today, the red kite.A stunning bird easily identified by a forked tail and a grey head. Mainly feeding on carrion which we have a lot of mainly road kill, especially pheasants ! They will kill mice and other small rodents if need be and will, like the buzzard , eat earthworms, which always fascinated me.
A grey , cloudy start to the day but brightened up into a sunny afternoon up to 5 degrees.Wondering how much snow we will get :)
