Noticeably colder!

A day of chores, going into Yeovil this morning to the bank,  charity shop (getting rid of things!), and M & S for N's birthday present!  Having been away there is not much food in the house and having noticed a few snowflakes when the post was delivered I thought it prudent to stock up at the supermarket before we are prevented going anywhere!  The postwoman said she was not looking forward to the snow in her van; they are not fitted with chains or studs but are given spikes for their footwear which she said are hopeless and are not worn as one cannot drive in them and she is forever on the move delivering letters in a rural area. 

 B is has recovered from his bug and took some cattle to the abattoir in Langport while T has been fertilising the corn crops.  He has promised to cut our neighbours field hedge which must be  done before the end of the month - it is not allowed after that because the birds begin to build their nests. Unfortunately we have a pair of magpies building their nest in the chestnut tree which I can see out of our bedroom window.  They have been away for some years but have now returned.
