Monet at Abbot Hall

To Kendal this morning to run errands.  

We have been meaning to go to Abbot Hall to see the Monet on display there and finally got around to it today.  The Haystacks is a painting dated 1891 and is on loan from the National Galleries of Scotland.
He produced over 30 haystacks paintings, working at different times of day and season to capture the effect of changing light on their form.

Well worth a trip.
