Goldcrest

I thought this bird was a wren initially because it was so tiny, but then I noticed the yellow stripe on its head.... I've never seen a goldcrest before so I was quite pleased to spot it! 

The temperature wasn't particularly low when I was out (no lower than it has been anyway) but for some reason I felt really really cold and had to retreat to the warmth of the car before I'd intended to. I'm still struggling to get warm now.... maybe a hot bath will sort me out!
