Emergency rations

I need to be in the NE for an appointment with mum and Dad for Tuesday afternoon. after seeing the weather forecast I made the decision to come after work today.

In the boot of the car I have a shovel and some rock salt, a blanket and my trusty walking boots. I had a flask of coffee, and some biscuits - nice chocolate covered ginger biscuits as a treat for mum but a backup in case I was stuck in the car in snow drifts, and out of reach while I was driving a packet of my favourite jelly spogs. Just in case I needed an extra burst of energy

In reality I got here with no problem at all though it is snowing now. Let’s see what tomorrow brings and hope I get home without having to eat these! Are the met office bigging it up?
