During a short holiday while I was working in England and S was studying in Edinburgh we decided to climb the snow covered Arthur's Seat.  We stopped at a shop on the way and then after slithering up the icy rocks I was given this on top!  Today we retraced our footsteps and remembered the excitement we had felt exactly 50 years ago today.   The footpath up is now much easier and there were only a few tiny flurries of snow (perhaps tomorrow there might be lying snow) but the views continue to be exhilarating.  We hope we will still be able to enjoy the views from the top in ten years time.
