Waiting his turn

The bird feeder has been busy today so the robin had to wait his turn. Great tits and blue tits are the most frequent visitors but today there has also been a happy flock of long tailed tits. Wood pigeons, blackbirds and collared doves pick up the droppings.
I made a fruit cake today from an old favourite recipe. A friend recently told me I should get rid of my recipe books because They look untidy and I could get all the recipes on line! But what about all the memories, the ticks beside the good ones and the pencilled advice beside the list of ingredients? Sorry friend, that is a daft idea.
