Icy 4th

It was definitely brass monkey weather at 8.30 on the golf course this morning, so much so that the pond in front of the 4th green had iced over; a good job, as it happened, as somehow my 2nd shot seemed to skate over and land on the far side on the left of this photo.

We were well wrapped up, six layers in my case, and it didn't seem to hamper my swing; in fact it had a beneficial effect: by the end of the round it wasn't taking me long at all to swing the club back and hit the ball, which made a welcome change.
