Our local Saddleback Mountains have 2 peaks:
Santiago Peak,  elev. 5,689' named after the Apostle Santiago el Mayor by the explorer Gaspar de Portola in 1769
the other peak is:
Modjeska Peak, elev. 5,495' named after a Polish opera star, who lived in the Modjeska canyon in her Modjeska house. She lived from 1840-1909.
