View from the Top

As the  weather was good today I took the long walk around the grounds at Trentham. This includes getting to the top of the hill where the Duke of Sutherland's, formerly the Marquis of Stafford, statue looks down on what was once his estate. 

It was a bit hazy but wit good visibility, you can see The Peak District.

The rest of the walk takes you into Kings Wood, past the monkey forest, and back to Trentham Gardens through the old stable buildings and past Trentham church.
