Painted Within the Lines

I've been looking forward to a sunny day, to go back to this location in Virginia.  I was there for a couple of hours before I spotted a Wood Duck pair.  Everything else paled in comparison, literally.  This male looked like he had been painted into the dull winter landscape.  I stayed for an additional half hour hoping they would make a reappearance, but they stayed behind the weeds.  Wow, the colors were truly amazing.
I've also added a female Mallard as an extra, since it is a sharper quality shot.  She may not be as colorful, but she's still a beauty.
