Auckland Lantern Festival

To celebrate the Chinese New Year (Year of the Dog), a festival is being held in the Auckland Domain over the first days of March. Tomorrow will be an opportunity for people to walk through looking at lanterns. Thereafter (for three more days), there will be entertainments, food as well as the lanterns.

Today I walked back to the Admin area by way of the Domain (from the inpatient unit) and saw this and other examples of the decorations already in place.
