The Beast

Having deposited a sprinkling of snow overnight, the Beast from the East was to the south of us over the Channel this morning with threatening tendrils of cloud extending north. It’s now sunny but with a freezing blasting wind.

I am taking my son to the hairdresser this afternoon - he doesn’t fancy a mile long walk in both directions in this cold. I am intending to hang around and get a cup of tea and cake in a nearby cafe before bringing him back.
