Male Chaffinch in the Snow

It was snowing when I woke up at 0700 hours and has continued on and off all day, with bright sunshine in between. I have not been out except to post a birthday card. The roads, except for our lane are snow free although our lane is still covered with snow.
 
This morning all the bird feeders and the squirrel box were empty, the bird water was frozen, so this was a job I completed before breakfast of porage, to keep out the cold!

I took today’s picture of a male Chaffinch through the kitchen window, I took so many pictures it was hard to choose, but this one won the day.
