Poor birds ......

are so hungry today.   I have had so many Starlings, Blackbirds, Dunnocks, Pheasants and several Robins.   It has snowed most of the day and think we have about 10".   There are two Redwings in the photograph, it's been a long time since we have had those in the garden.    I was running out of seed and in a moment of madness I baked some scones for the birds.   I had an out of date bag of wholemeal flour in the cupboard and I added porridge oats, currants and cheese.   They soon disappeared.  I love my birds!! I get so much pleasure watching them.
