The View from the Loo

We seem to have escaped the worst excesses of "The Beast from the East" so far. Undoubtedly cold; we've not been above freezing all day and it is currently -6.4c and falling (although I know some people have had a lot colder than that) but we haven't had all the snow there has been elsewhere. A heavy blizzard first thing left everywhere white but the sun came out and everything in its path melted. Three or four more really heavy but short blizzards have left the field opposite us looking a bit like Arctic Tundra; this is the view from the bathroom late afternoon. We may get more overnight but if the weather maps are to be believed we'll be very cold but miss most of the snow.
