So Controlled!

From the "Waffle Cottage" high on the open mountain there is a long descent of several kilometres, back to the car park.  It is very forgiving because each downhill slope ends with a flat section. You zoom down and if you make it to the flat area you slow down and come to a halt.  I only fell once. Jan however, didn't fall at all. She is so good at snow ploughing those cross country skis, and thereby controlling her speed and steering. I'm afraid I am far less good, starting out by braking but as I gain speed I start to worry that all that braking will throw me over, so I give up and speed down, making slightly frantic step turns when required. Hence my fall...
