An EB of sorts...  I had full intentions of getting a photo of a fish as my colleague who fishes and hunts, goes every afternoon after work to see if he can catch salmon that are running in the creeks at the moment.  I am intrigued and wanted to see what he raves on and on about.  I must say that I am not a fisherwoman, nor a hunter, so we make an odd pairing but we talk for hours every day.  I have learned so much about animal behaviour from him and I hope I have taught him a few things about animal behaviour and seeing what he hunts in a different light.

Long story short...no fish but I did go for a long walk along the creek.  I played peek-a-boo with two Goldeneye who were avoiding my camera and came upon this lovely Trumpeter who appeared to be doing a little yoga on the bank.  I have posted this photo on the Ontario Trumpeter Swan site to learn the name of this particular swan (and to give them info they need to keep track).  

Last Monday, there was a special celebration for the Trumpeters...over 150 swans were counted, as well as many Mutes and two Tundras.  How amazing...
